Sairam Shipping Science Institute established in Puducherry, 3 Km fromVillianur, Puducherry. It started on 9th August of 2010 with the blessings of Shirdi Sai and the Embodiment of a successful businessman, our Chairman Mr.MJF.Ln.Leo Muthu. The College is affiliated to Indian Maritime University, Chennai. We at SSSI provide a learning environment that will prepare our cadets not only to face the situations in ship but also in their personal life, Cadets are provided with spacious class-rooms, well-equipped laboratories, computer laboratory, outdoor games and for indoor games, Gymnasium equipments , excellent boarding and lodging facilities. Training program are organized in professional manner inviting in-house & external resource persons. The Academy helps in obtaining their CDC (Continuous Discharge Certificate), and INDOS Numbers and complete the STCW Modular courses, which are all mandatory. B.Sc. Nautical Science | Diploma in Nautical Science

1 .	B.Sc. Nautical Science
	Eligibility Pass in HSC / (10+2) from a Recognized Broad with 60% Average in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics.; Compulsory: 50% in English Subject either in 10th or 12th Standard
	Duration 3 years
	Other Details Between 17 and 25 years Eye Sight : No Color Blindness, 6 / 6 Vision in each eye. No Eye Glasses permitted.

2 .	Diploma in Nautical Science
	Eligibility Pass in HSC / (10+2) from a Recognized Broad with 55% Average in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics. (or) B.Sc., in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Electronics with Physics as individual subject in one of the years with an average of not less than 50% marks in the Final year. (or) B.E / B.Tech., Degree from a College Recognized by AICTE.
	Duration 1 year
	Admission Procedure Admission for this course is done by the Indian Maritime University, Chennai through Single Window counseling. Students have to appear in the CET conducted by IMU and shall appear for the counseling.
