Lord Krishna Polytechnic College, Kapurthala has been established in 2003 to provide the quality education to the doorstep of a common man. Kapurthala is a formerly princely state. It is known as Paris of Punjab for having distinguished designs of the buildings by the Rulers of the Kapurthala. The Rail Coach Factory (RCF) and Science City are also in the vicnity as a pride of the area. The Punjab Technical University (PTU) has also been setup at Kapurthala. The building has been constructed as per the norms of AICTE, New Delhi / Punjab State Board of Technical Education & Industry Training, Chandigarh. Punjab Govt.The foundation stone of this Polytechnic College was laid by S. Mohinder Singh Kaypee, the then Technical Education Minister, Govt. of Punjab on 20th March 2003
The library is the pride of the institution and has a collection of more than 12000 titles of books including technical & general, in addition to various journals. The library subscribe to large number of Periodicals, Magazines and Newspapers in English, Hindi & Punjabi language. A wide range of national, and international journals are subscribed. There is a Book Bank having a sufficient number of prescribed books. All students can draw books from the Book Bank for the whole session.

Separate hostel facility is provided to girl and boy students in the college campus.

Lord Krishna Polytechnic College offers scholorship to tution fee for brilliant students for upto 1 academic year
