The department, established in 1993, offers postgraduate and doctoral degrees with an objective to generate competent man power in the diverse field of Microbiology.
The department is well equipped with the basic and latest facilities yielding competent students who are pursuing research at various institutions of India and International repute including NBRI, CIMAP, KGMU, IIT, JNU, IISC, Bangalore and institutes in USA, UK, Canada and also contributing to usher quality improvement in companies they have joined.
