The College of Agricultural Engineering Post Harvest Technology (CAEPHT) was established by CAU in the year 2006 to address the issue of shortage of trained manpower (Human Resource) in the discipline of agricultural engineering besides issues pertaining to natural resource management, farm mechanization, post-harvest technology, processing & value addition, utilization of renewable sources of energy, creation of agro-industries in the region etc.
Library : Library now possesses 6500 books including textbooks, reference books, encyclopedias and other non- book materials such as CD, CD-ROMs, maps etc. The Library is subscribing 08 Indian journals and 05 international journals. The Library also subscribes to 04 national newspapers and 02 local newspapers along with 08 numbers of various magazines & employment news. The Library is automated with Networked version of LibSys Software with OPAC/Web OPAC and Bar Code facility. The entire library holdings have been made available in Machine Readable Catalogue (MARC) and the computerized bibliographic information is made available to users' through campus Network (LAN) using OPAC/Web OPAC. Automated circulation system using barcode technology is used and bar-coding of the entire library collections is up-to-date.
Computer laboratory: The Computer laboratory is equipped with 20 computer, internet connectivity of 250 kbps and Wi-Fi facility. Due to earthquake in September 2011, the internet connectivity was effected which was restored through Broad Band connectivity. Software Technology Park of India has been entrusted the responsibility of hardware installation and providing broad band connectivity to south block building where computer lab has been now shifted. The computer lab has many advanced software compilers like FORTAN, Visual Studio, MS Office, Page Maker, CATIA, etc. In addition 50 computers have been provided to faculty, scientists and other administrative staff.

Scholarship Facility
The institute provides National Talent Scholarship and University Grant Merit Scholarship.
The college has established a Training Placement and Career Development Centre headed by Associate Professor level officer incharge. The activities of the cell include counseling, and mentoring, providing trainings, guiding in career development and placement of college students. The cell invites professional experts, consultant and corporate professionals to coach, guide and counsel the students.
