Sri Ganesh College of Education, run by the Sri Ganesh Charitable Trust was established in the urban area of Ammapet of Salem District, Tamilnadu in the year 2006. The B.Ed course was recognized by the Southern Regional Committee, National Council for Teacher Education, Bangalore vide Order 9241 dated 15.11.2006 for an intake of 100 students. Further, the SRC, NCTE has granted recognition for Additional Intake of 100 students vides order No.1882 dated.28.05.2008. Now our institution is having total intake of 200 students in the B.Ed program.
