RIIT for women was the first womens college to be approved by AICTE in the southern part of Tamilnadu for the year 2009.RIIT offers 6 UG programs and 3 PG programs.
LIBRARY: Our College Library has 24000 volumes of books under 8451 titles. The e-journal facilities of the library provide unparalleled full text access to IEEE.
INTERNET
Our Campus consists of more than 1000 high end Computers operating with Microsoft Windows and Linux. All the computers are networked with high-speed (10/100/1000 Mbps) Ethernet/OFC/Wi-Fi connectivity. To enhance the e-Learning facility all the computers are connected to the internet with an 24 Mbps 1:1 dedicated Direct Internet Access.
MEDICAL FACILITIES
Our college has a medical facility with a person in-charge. Our college has all the required first-aid medicines to aid the needed. Students Health care Centre is located in the campus within easy reach of all the students. If a student is ill she will immediately taken to hospital nearby. We have enough of beds for taking care of ill students with attached toilet inside the medical room. All types of general medicines will be available for the needy students as one may need it at any time.
TRANSPORTATION: The management has purchased number of buses and vans for the use of the students as well as staff. The buses are operating to the following places in addition to Nagercoil.
BANKING: RIIT - Lady students staying in the hostel have come from far away from their home, they need banking service in the campus. An air-conditioned ATM is located adjacent to the college main gate making it convenient for students and staff to transact business at the campus itself in all 24 hours.
Hostel Facility
RIIT offers accommodation for up to 400 students. The college provides good hostel facilities at moderate rate for girls. These are comfortable, ‘no frills’ accommodation offering single, double and triple room sharing. Spacious dining halls serve nutritious vegetarian and non vegetarian food. Each block is enabled with Wi-Fi facility, cable TVs, and telephone facilities.
Postgraduates’ students have separate block of hostels. Each block has separate library, laundry facilities and internet center. Safety is ensured by a professional team of security guards.
