Agricultural Engineering College and Research Institute, Kumulur is the only constituent College of Tamil Nadu Agricultural University offering B.Tech. (Agrl.Engg.) degree to produce the technocrats towards the challenges of population explosion, labour shortage, ethnic energy crisis, food and fuel shortages, intensive resource inventory towards alleviation of poverty and environmental stress. The Agricultural Engineering College and Research Institute was established as a constituent educational institution of the prestigious Tamil Nadu Agricultural University in the academic year of 1972 in Coimbatore. The college was shifted to Kumulur in the year 1992. The campus is at a distance of 25 km from Trichy. This campus has been extended in an area of 280 acres of experimental farm, updated with infrastructural facilities for academic, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.

Computer Center: The laboratory has high-end computing and network resources for the academic and research programs. The students and staff have access to software tools and systems to execute real-life projects. Application softwares like Quantum GIS, Grass GIS, Arc GIS, SWAT (Soil Water Assessment Tool), CAD/CAM, Hydrus, SAS, SPSS,, Modflow, surfer 13.0, C editor are available for the benefit of students.
Library: Kumulur library has a comprehensive collection of B. Tech, M.Tech & Ph.D (Agricultural Engineering) and its allied subjects to meet the present and future information needs for the students and the faculty. The Library has a total collection of more than 15,559 volumes of books in various disciplines.
