After successfully establishing and running Sri Devaraj Urs Medical College, Kolar & RL Jalappa Institute of Technology, Doddaballapur, the vision of our beloved Chairman Sri. R.L. Jalappa, Ex. Minister of Govt. of India, to provide undergraduate education to the rural people at an affordable fee culminated in the starting of Sri Devaraj Urs Institute of Management in the year 2006 with BBM Course. After successfully running two batches of BBM, during 2008 the B.Com Course was introduced, In 2014 B.A Course was introduced and in 2016 B.Sc (PMCs) was introduced.
Since June 2015, Prof.J.V.Chandrashekar is heading the institution as Principal.
Library: Our Library is a rich resource center with a collection of around 3000 books worth Rs. 6 lakhs on a wide range of subjects. Besides, we also subscribe to leading International, National and State level periodicals and Journals, The Library also provides Internet Facility. It has a separate refernce section with 60 seating capacity.
Computer Lab: We have well established Computer Science Lab with Internet Facility.
Buisness Science Lab: Our Students experience the excitement of discovering things for themselves regarding Buisness and Management in our well-equipped Buisness Science Lab.
Workshop and Campus Recruitment Drive: We have tied up with various reputed consultancies and professional training institutions to conduct workshops and training programmes to enrich the skills of students to face the contemporary compitetion in the corporate sector and be successful in their carrers.
