S. J. G. College of Education was established in the year 2004 with the efforts of Sri Sriman Maharaja Niranjana jagadguru Dr. Mallikarjuna Murugarajendra Mahaswamigalu, Murughamata, Anandapuram, Bekkinakalmat Shivamogga. It is a Private unaided institution managed by Sri Jagadguru Guru Basaveshwara Vidyapeeta.(R) Bekkinakalmata port road Shivamogga. which has been rendering pioneering work in the field of Education Since 1982. The College provides two academic years (4 semesters)
Computer Lab: Computer lab has 20 computers with qualified computer instructor to facilitate the computer Education. CD’s of windows 98 NCTE CD’s concerned with education, CD’s of 6th class to 10th class syllabus of science, social studies subjects are available to enhance the knowledge of computer literacy.
Library: Our library is in charge of a full time qualified librarian. There are 5,640 books including reference books for B. Ed course. About 30 Journals and periodicals pertaining to education help in enhancing the knowledge of students.
Laboratories: Psychology lab is well equipped to conduct experiments regarding learning, personality development, memory, intelligence aptitude as per the requirements of the B. Ed syllabus.
Classrooms: The college has spacious classrooms with smart board, multipurpose hall, seminar hall, library with reading room, separate room for different laboratories, separate toilet facilities with 24 hrs water and electricity facilities.
