Government First Grade College, Siddharthanagar, Mysore was established in July, 2007. Since then hundreds of students have successfully passed out from the college and trying to attain eminent positions in the social mainstream. Starting with a meager number of 30 students in 2007, the institution has presently 591 students on with 200 girl students.Our college offer Three Bachelor Degrees namely. B.A, B.Com, and B.B.M..
Presently running in Govt. Higher Primary School building in Kurubarahally and Muda building, the college campus is centrally located in the Siddharthanagar, Mysore. Being multi-faculty and multi-disciplinary co-educational institution, the students pursue various under-graduate courses in Humanities, Commerce & Management. The college has 15 regular teaching faculty members including Associate Professors and Assistant Professors and 14 guest teaching faculty members working on academic arrangement basis.
The campus has 10 lecture rooms, a computer lab and a library consisting of 7374 books and number of journals. Besides this the college is connected with a regional beam of EDUSAT. Our college provide along with academic curricular and co-curricular activities namely, NSS., NCC., Scouts & Guides (Rovers & Rangers Unit), Communication Skills,( Naipunya Nidhi) Placement Youth Red Cross, Dhanvanthri Health Club, Sports etc..
The college emblem has been formed with a view to inculcate the traits of the rising sun with an inspiring words like ‘Knowledge is Power’ among the learners of this institution. Govt.First Grade College, Siddharthanagar, Mysore has to a greater extent lived up-to the principle as lay down in the emblem.
A comprehensive right-up in the prescribed format outlining overall programmes and action plan is presented in the main body of the Institutional Development Proposal (IDP).

'SAHAKARI' - Mid-day Meal Program :Funded and supported by the college faculty enables over 100 students who come from BPL families to have free mid-day meals.
