Dr. Lankapalli Bullayya College, Visakhapatnam was started in 1973 by 'The Society for Collegiate Education'. The latter found its origin in the minds of select prominent citizens of the city who were deeply interested in promoting higher education. Appropriately they named the college in honour of Dr. Lankapalli Bullayya who was the then Vice Chancellor of the Andhra University.A ten-acre plot was acquired in the heart of the city and necessary buildings were constructed . The student strength has grown to around 3000, one-third of which are girls. The college is affiliated to the Andhra University.
Bank:One nationalized bank-Andhra Bank operates their branch on the campus with the required banking operations. All students and staff have access to the bank.
Canteen:Canteen is centrally located, it has a seating capacity of 75. It also serves food in the outside area for more than 75 consumers at a time.
Health Care Center: Health Care Center is available with all types of medical advice and clinical tests. The centre is monitored by a resident medical doctor.
Hostel Facility
Hostel is affiliated to Dr L.B. College, exclusively for women students. Very near to Dr. L.B. Colleges this hostel has spacious rooms with attached bathrooms, good ventilation, hygienic food, purified drinking water and security.
