The college was established in the year 1961 (Affiliated to Shivaji University Kolhapur), in the memory of a visionary social reformer king Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Kolhapur. The College is providing education to student from downtrodden class. We have glorious tradition of sports and culture with 13 shiv Chhatrapati Awards. We strive to build an enlightened and humane society. The college has rich heritage to sports and research culture. The college is catering an education to the rural and slum areas. It has passed through two cycles of Re-accreditation by NAAC and the present score of CGPA is 2.84. The college has initiated 48 skilled development programmers including 10 career oriented courses, 12 self financing courses and 8 capsule courses to increase the employability of the student. College has organized a number of national and state Level Conferences during last five years. The faculty of this college completed more than 30 research projects funded by various funding agencies.
