Faculty of Engineering (FOE) at SMVDU is equivalent to the Faculty of Engineering in traditional universities and has constituent Departments of Study which are equivalent to Departments in a University.
The University has excellent infrastructure in the form of buildings and space, Library, Computing facility with large number of latest generation computers in a number of PC labs connected to eight Servers with Internet facility, Electronics and Communication labs with state of art equipments, well developed Mechanical and Biotechnology labs and a workshop. Spacious drawing halls and studios provide a very conducive and cozy environment for innovative development of ideas for Architecture students.
Laboratory – A well equipped Clinical Laboratory with Semi-Autoanalyser is functional in Medical Aid Centre.
Transportation: The public transport facilities are available in the form of min-bus which plies on the Domel-Katra route. All buses stop in front of the university gate and are available every hour. The University has also organized its own bus facility for students from Campus to Domel and back on specific times during the weekdays and the weeknds for the convenience of the students. a specail bus facility from Campus to Jammu and back is available on every Saturday for the convenience of Faculty & Staff members and their families.
Hostel Facility
Well-furnished student hostels for boys & girls with appropriate facilities including Internet facilities. Spacious Duplex & Apartments are provided for the faculty members and their families.
