The instutition, beginning as a private institution of learning, in due
course of time was first affiliated and then became a constituent unit of
Ranchi University. Today it is a constituent unit of Nilamber Pitamber
University, one of the newest state universities carved out of the mammoth
Ranchi University after its bifurcation in 2009. The college has achieved many
milestones since 1968. Today it is offering post graduate studies in many
subjects. Plans are afoot to further develop the college into an institution of
learning fulfilling all the criteria laid by NAAC and RUSA for quality
education so that the girls of Palamu are fully equipped and accomplished to
cope with the highly competitive globalized world.
