Duliajan Girls’ College, was established in 1992 to fulfil this need to facilitate up-to-date education in well equipped infrastructure to the womenfolk of Duliajan and neighbouring areas readying them for the challenge of the society as better human beings. At present, the college has 30 qualified and experienced teachers along with about 15 nos. of hard working office staff and above 800 students. The college is able to show brilliant performances in the Final Board & University Examinations.
Duliajan Girls’ College is well equipped with a very good arrangement of class rooms with modern teaching audio-visual aids, a big library with a reading room, along with a few journals of national and regional level, and handful of News Papers in Assamese, English & Hindi language. The Library is also well equipped with adequate nos. of reference books. The College has an Auditorium with a sitting capacity for about 500 peoples. The College also has a well maintained canteen with good service and nutritious food. and care is taken to maintain utmost hygiene. Adequate sitting arrangement are there for both teachers & students separately. Laboratory facilities for both Education & Home Science Deptt. with sufficient equipments along with running water, electricity and gas supply is made available for students. The Computer Lab is equipped with sufficient nos. of computers, printers along with Internet facilities for teachers & students alike. The College has a provision of a Girls’ Common Room for the recreation of the Students
