Lanka Mahavidyalaya was established on the 20th July,1979 in the northern outskirts of Lanka town which is situated in the southernmost part of the district of Nagaon,Assam. Lanka is situated at a distance of about 180 kms from Guwahati, the Capital city of Assam and about 65 kms from Nagaon, the District Headquarter town. Library: The library of the college, though not very large, is well organized. There are about 13565 volumes covering all the subjects including Text Books and Reference Books. The library has two special reading rooms, one for the students and another for the teachers. There are some journals and newspapers subscribed by the Library.
