Synergy Institute of Engineering & Technology, Dhenkanal, ORISSA. A long cherished dream of Shivani Educational and Charitable Trust, took shape in the year 1999. From a humble beginning of meagre 180 intake capacity in three branches, the Institute has come a long way in imparting professional education in the field of Engineering & Technology. The journey has not been smooth but, the Institute has steadily progressed and today it stands on its sprawling campus with 768 intake capacity in six disciplines & the total student strength in BTech & MTech is 2441. The college has got the approval of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Govt. of India. Earlier affiliated to the renowned Utkal University, Vanivihar, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, now it is affiliated to the Biju Pattnaik University of Technology (BPUT), Rourkela, Orissa - especially formed to focus solely on Technical Education & to improve quality. Synergy has the unique distinction of being the first Degree Engineering College in Eastern India to get ISO 9001 : 2000 Certification for its quality management system.Also accredited by Institute of Engineers India & National Board of Accreditation, New Delhi.
Library: A well-stocked computerized library having 47,238volumes is a hub of educational excellence.We have been constantly & consistently endeavoring to procure the right as well as latest documents to meet the academic & carrier requirements and also achievement of our beloved students.We have Open-Access systems where students are allowed to browse their documents through terminals it is quite easy to search their reading material.Documents are kept in the library as per International classification scheme and also follows AACR-2 cataloguing rules. The catalogue cabinet and computer system at the entrance of library to apprise the users for reflecting the stock of library.
Gymnasium: The InstbestInstitute has three well equipped moderated single station Gymnasium Hall both for boys and girls in different hostels. In the boys hostel a wide range of equipment like Bench Press, Butterfly, Cable Cross Over, Preacher, Leg press AB Crunch, Dumbbells and Rubber Plates have been provided for their physical fitness. The Girls hostel is also equipped with modern exercise tools like motorized Treadmill, AB King Pro, Exercise Bike Stepper & Twister, Gym Ball And Vibrater. Apart from the above facilities, yoga classes are regularly organized in the Institute by Art of Living and other Spiritual foundations.
Transportation: The institute has 5 (Five) buses each of 52 seating capacity. Interested student of the institute is provided transport from specified points of Dhenkanal town to campus and back. One bus plies from Cuttack to Dhenkanal. Staff and students from outside Dhenkanal avail the transport facility. The timings and other operational details of the transport are notified on the Institute Notice Board. Entry into the bus is on the basis of production of I-Card.A faculty member in-charge of the transport section looks after the arrangements. Any difficulty with respect to the transport should be brought to the notice of the transport in-charge.
Cafeteria: Synergy has its cafeteria inside the Campus to cater to the students delight with a variety of quality food and soft drinks at an economical price round the clock.In addition to this, A market complex near the campus is available where the students can get all the necessary commodities at the door-step.
Hostel Facility
Hostel Facilities Available: First Year boys hostel is presently located at the Kohinoor Boys Hostel which is 2 km away from the Institute's campus and can accommodate upto 187 students.Shantiniketan Girls' hostels is inside the college campus which can accommodate 289 students.Kapilash Boys' Hostel of capacity 250 inside the college campus for senior students.Saptasajya Boys' Hostel of capacity 104 inside the college campus for senior students.The rooms are specious & designed to accommodate either two or three students & most have attached toilets & bathrooms.The college provides 100% hostel facilities.Separate Hostels for Boys & Girls are inside the campus of the college.For the Boys' Hostel out side the campus college bus is available.
