Dada Ramchand Bakhru Sindhu Mahavidyalaya (formerly known as Sindhu Mahavidyalaya) is a 44 year old premier institution of Nagpur imparting quality education to students in the faculties of Science & Commerce. It is run by Sindhi Hindi Vidya Samiti which comprises of a team of social workers committed to the mission of propogating education. The college was founded on 1st July 1971. The college is reaccredited by NAAC in Grade B with CGPA 2.62.The courses run by the college are B.Sc.(Chemistry, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Electronics, Physics, Maths, Botany, Zoology, Computer Science), M.Sc.(Biotech.) in science faculty.In commerce faculty B.Com, B.B.A. and M.Com.The institute also has junior college(+2 level) in Science, Commerce and MCVC.

Library: The institute has library as not only resource, but as solution or barrier.breaker. The students at large, have no socio-economic status to have own text books. Thus library has to supplement, need of students by proper allocation and distribution of books. This support buildup confidence in students and ensure academic success.In recent time a user friendly initiatives has been executed by IT enabling.The library is automated and is managed using computerized issue/return,search process. Self operated INFLIBNET Facility, Digital reading room with internet facility, access to e-journals and e-books have made library more open and time saving for students and staff.The library is spread over two floors, one dedicated for regular process and other as reading room.
