SVMIT is managed by Shri S’ad Vidya Mandal trust popularly known as SVM established in 1954 as a result of inspiration and blessings of Swami Shri Atulanandji. To meet the ever increasing needs of technical personnel in Industry, as also to enhance the frontiers of knowledge in the field of technology, Shri S’ad Vidya Mandal Institute of Technology was established in August 1996 as a self finance Institute. The Institute has been approved by the All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi and by the Government of Gujarat. In academic year 2011-12 our first batch under Gujarat Technological University (GTU) has graduated with almost 100% results in all the disciplines. Many of our students are in university toppers’ list.
Library: The Institute has a well furnished computerized library facility with more than 30,000-35,000 books of national as well as international authors on different subjects. The library is equipped with large collection of CD-Rom and other Electronic learning materials of ISTE, IIT’s and Regional College. The institute subscribes numbers of Technical Periodicals, Journals and Magazine. Additionally, students have and easy access to books for the National & International Competitive Exam like GRE, TOEFL, GMAT, GATE, IES, IAS, GPSC, etc. Future plans of centrally Air conditioned and fully Computerization with bar code system of books transactions are about to fulfill.
Seminar Hall: Conferences, Technical Workshop and Seminars are day in and day out activities of the institute. The institute has a well furnished air conditioned Seminar Hall with about 200 seating capacity. The hall is also equipped with an overhead projector, an LCD Projector and Audio-Video facilities.
Canteen: Apart from the basic amenities of the hostel, the institute having a good cafeteria named “Campus Canteen”, which provides snacks, tea & coffee, soft drinks, lunch and fast food at reasonable costs.
Sports Complex: ports are one of the key factors in the overall development of students personality and character building. In view of this fact, institute provides excellent sporting facilities for indoor and outdoor games. Apart from the games ,the sport arena also equipped with latest form of Gymnasium, Yoga facilities for enacting the other facets of the life. The unique feature of the sports arena is, one of the biggest turf wicket cricket ground in the South Gujarat region of domestic level along with the stands.
