The Siddheswar College was established in the year 1980 as a leading College in North Balasore and was recognized and approved by the Government of Odisha Vide letter No.13507/EYS, Dt.17-03-1981 and No. 48633/EYS,Dt. 20-11-1981 with the affiliation to both Council of Higher Secondary Education, Odisha and Utkal University Bhubaneswar vide letter No.20611-A-9757, Dt. 31-03-1982.. Subsequently the college was affiliated to Fakir Mohan University, Balasore, Odisha. The College is also accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Bangalore with C+ + grade with effect from 2006. The territorial jurisdiction of the institute covers the bordering areas of both Balasore and Mayurbhanj districts of Northern part of Odisha with a sizable number of inhabitants belonging to the scheduled tribes. There are +2 , Degree and Vocational wings of the institute catering to the demand of higher education in the area. Myriad developments depend crucially upon human resource, Siddheswar College beacons light of knowledge to this region to pull up the underprivileged youth to the national mainstream to the domain of arts, science, commerce and technology.
Library: The college library has about 27000 approx. books well arranged in sections and subsections. The members of the staff and students of the college use the library. There are mainly two sections such as (A) Lending and(B) Book bank (C) Reading Room. All Sections of the library are under the overall administrative control of the principal.
Computer Center: Keeping pace with global scientific and technical education development, the college has facilitated the study of computer. The dept. of higher Secondary Education, Govt. of Odisha has launched of Joint venture Project "Computer for All" in association with "Computer Point" in the college premises to give easy access to each and every college student at a very reasonable price. The courses offered ranges from beginner to specialized and career development courses for the students.
Hostel Facility
Hostel Facilities Available: A ladies hostel had been opened in the college premises from the session 2004-05 and its intake capacity was 28. The girls students who desires to stay in the hostel should apply in the appropriate column of the Application Form.
