R. S. Gosavi Kalaniketan Mahavidyalaya, Kolhapur

R. S. Gosavi and the late G. N. Solanki establish kalaniketan institute in 1950 which work completely in drawing field. In 1952 Mumbai government approve this institute for the work in educational field. In 1952 Mumbai government approve this institute for the work in educational field. In 1954 this institute registered as ‘Kalaniketan art education society and in 1958 approved by new Delhi’s fine arts academy. Formerly the examination centre of drawing was not in Kolhapur it was in Mumbai it was very difficult for student. When this condition was realized by the society members they tried for making Kolhapur as examination center and they became successful in their efforts.
