Sri Kottureshwara Vidya Vardhaka Sangha registered under the Mysore Societies Act 1960 was founded by H.H.Shri Channabasava Mahaswami of Kalmath in the year 1965 with a vision to spread education and develop this economically, educationally backward area. Presently it is running a number of educational institutions in Gangavathi town.Present swamiji His Holiness Dr. Kotturu Mahaswami of Kalmath is the president of Shri Kottureshwara Vidya Vardhaka Sangha. He is guiding us in development of our college.Our college started in the year 1974 with the munuficient donation of Gunjahalli Family in memory of Late Shri Gunjahalli Hire Nagappa a philonthrophist of Gangavathi town.Sri Gunjahalli Basanna, donor of the college who is instrumental in starting the college played an important and significant role in the development of the college.
