Padmashree Dr. D. Y. Patil Institute of Pharmacy (D. Pharm.) has been established in the year 2003 with a vision to create proactive & multifaceted Pharmacrates. It Provides a favorable ambience for the teaching, non-teaching, staff & students to meet the emerging global challenge in the pharmacy field. The Institute has a state-of-the-art infrastructure, specious & airy classroom, well equipped Laboratories & enriched Library. Diploma in Pharmacy curriculum is divided into four main subjects leads viz. Pharmaceutics, Pharmachemistry, Pharmacology & Pharmacognosy.

For the admission to first year of Diploma course in pharmacy, the candidate should have passed higher secondary certificate H.S.C. (std.XII) Examination of Maharashtra State Board of or its equivalent examination with at least 35% marks in aggregate with Physic, Chemistry, Biology Mathematics and English.

Admission Procedure
Admission in unaided Polytechnics (D. Pharm. Institutes) are carried out through centralized admission process (CAP) conducted by Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra state Mumbai as per the rules approved by Government of Maharashtra, Mumbai. The sanction intake of this institute is 60 students. Hence 80% of the seats i.e., 48 seats will be filled through CAP & 20% seat i.e., 12 seat will be filled at Institute level as per the rules approved by Government of Maharashtra.
