SV Medical College or Sri Venkateswara Medical College is a prestigious institution situated in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh. The medical college is a Deemed University, established by Andhra Pradesh State Legislature.The college is a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). The institution is owned by Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD).
SVIMS has been recognized by Medical Council of India (MCI) since 2003 for conducting various DM, MCh, MD courses. In 2006, the Government of India included SVIMS as one of the institutions for upgradation at par with AIIMS, New Delhi under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY) scheme.
