The Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Goa has decided to cancel the Goa Common Entrance Test (GCET) for admission to B.Tech and B.Pharm courses for the year 2024-25. Instead, the admissions for these courses will now be determined based on the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) scores. The JEE-Main will be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) in both January and April 2024. The notification is given below.
Admission to Professional Degree courses in Pharmacy (B.Pharm), Allied Health Sciences and Nursing in the State of Goa, for the academic year 2024-25 will be on the basis of Best Aggregate score in the subjects of Physics and Chemistry, either at JEE-main 2024 OR NEET 2024. Accordingly Aspirants for admissions to B.Pharm Course may opt to answer JEE-Main 2024 OR NEET 2024 OR Both the examinations.
Admissions to MBBS, BDS, BHMS*(Homeopathy) and BAMS* (Ayurveda) courses shall be based on NEET UG 2024 scores. All candidates desirous of seeking admissions to Professional Degree courses in MBBS, BDS, BHMS*(Homeopathy) and BAMS*(Ayurveda) in the colleges within the State of Goa during the academic session, must appear and have a valid score in NEET UG-2024, and should fulfill other eligibility criteria for admission as given in the prospectus. Merit list for these courses shall be based only on NEET-2024 scores.
Admissions to Degree course in Architecture shall be on the basis of NATA as per details given under eligibility. So all candidates desirous of seeking admissions to Degree Courses in Architecture must appear, and have a valid score in National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA), conducted by Council of Architecture, and should fulfill other eligibility criteria for admission, as notified by Council of Architecture. Eligibility :
Engineering Courses - Candidates must have pass 10 + 2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board. He/she should have Physics, Mathematics, and English as a mandatory subject and any one of following the additional subject in Chemistry/ Biotechnology/Biology/ Computer Science. Candidates must have scored at least 45% marks aggregate for the general group and 40% for SC/ST/PH candidates.
B.Sc. Nursing - Candidates must have passed 10 + 2 or equivalent examinations with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English subject. He/she should have scored at least 45% marks aggregate for the general group and 40% marks for SC/ST/OBC candidates.
BHMS and AHS - Candidates must have passed 10 + 2 or equivalent examinations with Physics, Chemistry & Biology subject. They must have secured at least 50% marks aggregate for the general group and 40% for SC/ST/PH candidates.
B. Pharm. - Candidates must have passed 10 + 2 or equivalent examinations with Physics, Chemistry, and English as a compulsory subject. Apart from the above subject, candidates should have an additional subject in Mathematics, Biotechnology, Biology, and Computer Science.
B.Arch.: Candidates must have passed 10 + 2 or equivalent examinations with Mathematics subject. They should have scored a minimum of 50% marks aggregate for the general group and 45% for SC/ST/OBC candidates. Candidates should also qualify for the NATA exam.
How to Apply :
Application forms from eligible, interested applicants for admissions to First Year of Professional Degree Courses (MBBS, BDS, BE, B.PHARM. B.ARCH. BHMS, BAMS, ALLIED HEALTH SCIENCES, NURSING, BNYS, BVSc.& AH) for the year 2024-25, can be collected and submitted during office hours (10.00 a.m. to 5.00p.m.) at the locations given below, from 13th May, to 24th May, 2024 (except Sunday).

Applicants seeking admissions to JEE-(MAIN) based courses (Engineering), and NEET based courses (MBBS, BDS, BHMS (Homeopathy) and BAMS (Ayurveda), Allied Health Sciences, B.V.Sc.& A.H., Nursing and BNYS), as well as Pharmacy and B.Arch., are required to submit single applicationForm (Annexure III). Application forms are to be submitted, irrespective of declarationof NEET/NATA/Other Board Exams results. These results are to be submitted within five days of their declaration.
The applicant should submit the Application Form in person at the notified Application Reception Centre as per centre opted, along with a DD for the requisite amount payable in favour of “Director of Technical Education” at Panaji, and three identical passport size photographs (taken not earlier than 3 months from the date of application) should be affixed to each of the Application Form submitted, in the space provided, and on the Acknowledgement Card. The applicant should obtain the Acknowledgement Card, with registration number, as proof of submission of the form, from the Admission Committee, on the same day.
Incomplete Application Forms shall not be accepted. Application Forms shall not be accepted by post or through messenger. Forms shall be accepted with additional Late Fee till scheduled date. Forms shall not be accepted after the last date of submission mentioned in the prospectus.
