GUJCET to be replaced by NTA's JEE MAIN in Gujarat from 2025, provision of Gujarati question paper

JEE Main 2025 - Important Dates

Gujarat government Education department has announced that from the year 2025 Engineering and Pharmacy admission procedure, the state government will replace existing GUJCET with NTA's JEE (MAIN)

Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) MAIN will be conducted by the NTA from 2025 onwards. This Examination was being conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) till 2025.

JEE Main is applicable for admission to NITs, IIITs and CFTIs participating though Central Seat Allocation Board subject to the condition that the candidate should have secured at least 75% marks in the 12th class examination, or be in the top 20 percentile in the 12th class examination conducted by the respective Boards. For SC/ST candidates the qualifying marks would be 65% in the 12th class examination.

Also while creating a merit list, 50% weightage will be given to JEE Main score and 50% weightage will be given to higher secondary examination board 12th result. Also instead of percentage of the candidate, his/her percentile rank will be taken into consideration while preparing merit list.

A question paper will be available in any of three languages  Hindi, English and Gujarati. The question paper will be in objective style.
