The Examination
The Joint Entrance Examination (Advanced) 2026 [JEE (Advanced) 2026] will be conducted by the seven Zonal Coordinating IITs under the guidance of the Joint Admission Board 2026 (JAB 2026). The performance of a candidate in JEE (Advanced) 2026 will form the basis for admission to the Bachelors, Integrated Masters, and Dual Degree programs (entry at the 10+2 level), mentioned in Clause 2, in all the IITs in the academic year 2026-27. The decisions of JAB 2026 will be final in all matters related to JEE (Advanced) 2026 and admission to IITs in the academic year 2026-27.
For Admission to Undergraduate Programs at Indian Institutes of Technology
Bhilai, Bhubaneswar, Mumbai, Delhi, (ISM) Dhanbad, Dharwad, Gandhinagar, Goa, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Indore, Jammu, Jodhpur, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Chennai, Mandi, Palakkad, Patna, Roorkee, Ropar, Tirupati and (BHU) Varanasi.
The Joint Entrance Examination (Advanced) forms the basis for admission to the following programs (entry at the 10+2 level) in Engineering, Science and Architecture in all the IITs:
Mode of Examination
The JEE (Advanced) 2026 examination will be conducted ONLY in the Computer Based Test (CBT) mode.
Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility Criteria for Appearing in JEE (Advanced) 2026
A candidate, including a foreign national, must fulfill each and every one of the following five criteria to appear in JEE (Advanced) 2026.
JEE (Advanced) Examination
JEE (Advanced) 2026 will have two papers. Both the papers are compulsory. Each paper is of 3 hours duration and will have questions in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The complete examination will be conducted in COMPUTER BASED TEST (CBT) MODE ONLY. The questions will be in both English and Hindi languages. The candidates will have the option to choose the preferred language during the examination. The JEE (Advanced) 2021 is organized by IIT Kanpur.
Examination Cities
JEE (Advanced) 2026 will be held in selected cities and towns in India and in a few foreign countries. The candidates will give their preference for cities to write the examination at the time of registration.

The registration fee shown above DOES NOT INCLUDE service charges, processing fees, and any other charges that the payment gateway/banks may levy. Registration fee once paid is non-refundable and non-transferable. All candidates have to reach the examination centre at their own expense and have to make their own arrangements to appear for the examination.
