The OAT 2024 for admission to the PG Courses offered by the AIFD, Bangalore will be held on 14th April 2024 from 0900 hrs at AIFD, Bangalore. The candidates will be required to report at AIFD, Bangalore .At least half an hour before the commencement of the OAT.

PG Programmes

M.Sc. Apparel Technology & Management (Fashion & Apparel Design) - Affiliated with Bangalore North University

Duration : 2 years
No: of Seats : (20 seats each)

Eligibility
Candidates who have passed the three year Bachelor's degree examination of Bangalore University or any other University considered as equivalent there to in Science / Engineering in Fashion & Apparel Design/Textiles & Clothing/ Apparel & Fashion Technology/Fashion Designing / Costume & Apparel Design/ Costume Design and Fashion / Textile Technology / Silk Technology with a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate are eligible for admission to PG Course.

PG Admission through Online Admission Test (OAT).

Should be a ward of one of the following:

Serving Army personnel.
Serving medical officers of IN and IAF who have served in the Army for more than 10 yrs and are members of AOBF.
Retired Army pers in receipt of regular pension, or former Army pers who retired after min service of 10 yrs.
Former Army pers who died during service / after retirement and family pension is granted.
TA pers who have completed 10 yrs of embodied service.
DSC pers who are serving or retired with pension
i) War widows (in receipt of liberalized pension) and children in receipt of family pension (due to death of both parents) are also eligible.
ii) In case of adopted child, the ward should have been adopted atleast for five years before applying for admission.
iii) Should be minimum graduates, or appeared for degree exam, at the time of applying for admission to AIFD. Minimum acceptable marks in are 50%.
iv) Must be an Indian citizen, or a PIO who obtains Indian citizenship before admission.
v) Limited seats for Civilians and wards of other defence establishments.

Admission Procedure :

Candidates are required to fill the application form given at the end of the eProspectus. The e-Prospectus can be downloaded from the institute website free of cost. The filled application along with the relevant documents should be sent to Institute address with a Demand Draft of Rs 500/- towards application fee in favour of “ARMY INSTITUTE OF FASHION & DESIGN” payable at Bangalore. (ON THE REVERSE SIDE OF DEMAND DRAFT STUDENT NAME SHOULD BE MENTIONED WITHOUT FAIL).

Candidates are advised to check their eligibility before filling in their application form. Application forms duly completed in all respects along with relevant certificate documents should reach the Principal. Prospectus is also available on cash payment of Rs.500/- at Institute, Army Headquarters (AWES) and all the Army Command Headquarters (AWES).

Candidates are advised to check their eligibility before filling in their application form. Application forms duly completed in all respects along with relevant certificates documents should reach the Principal.

In case if the applicant desires to send an advance copy of the application they can download the application form from the website. However it is eminent that candidates obtain hardcopy of the prospectus and the application form as mentioned above.

Note: Students downloading the forms from website will have to attach a draft of Rs 500/- along with the application form towards candidateship for OAT.
