The Written Admission Test (WAT) 2018 for admission to the UG Course offered by the AIFD Bangalore, will be held on 28 April 2018 1430 to 1730 hrs at notified examination centers. The candidates will be required to report at their respective examination centers at 1400 hrs i.e. at least half an hour before the commencement of the WAT.
Duration : 3 years
No: of Seats : 60 (10 % of seats are offered for Karnataka Civilians)
Educational - The applicant must have passed 11th and 12th Std having studied same combination for two years regular students with a minimum of 35% aggregate marks from a board recognized by UGC/University. Bangalore University norms will be followed with regard to admission approval, refund of fees and retention of original documents from time to time. Candidates who have passed their 10+2 examination as a regular candidate are only eligible for admission to B.Sc. (FAD) as per Bangalore University norms. Candidates who have passed through distance education system or privately through NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling) have to offer the same combination of subjects in both 11 and 12 Standard.
The admission to the Army Institute of Fashion and Design is for the children of eligible serving Army personnel, eligible ex Army personnel and wards of war widows/widows of the Army. The children of following categories of Army personnel are eligible and they are required to submit the relevant certificate as given against the category applicable to them as proof of their eligibility for admission to Army Institute of Fashion and Design along with the Application Form.

The e-Prospectus can be downloaded from the institute website free of
cost. The filled application along with the relevant documents should be sent to
Institute address with a Demand Draft of Rs 500/-
towards application fee in favour of "ARMY INSTITUTE OF FASHION & DESIGN" payable at Bangalore. (ON THE REVERSE SIDE OF DEMAND DRAFT STUDENT NAME SHOULD
BE MENTIONED WITHOUT FAIL).
(b)Candidates are advised to check their eligibility before filling in their application form.
Application forms duly completed in all respects along with relevant certificate documents should reach the Principal. Army Institute of Fashion & Design, Bangalore, Nagareshwara Nagenahalli, Kothanur
Post, Bangalore - 60077 latest by 25 Mar 2018 for UG and 30 Jun 2018 for PG. A late fee of Rs.100/- by 31 Mar 2018 for UG and 05 July 2018 for PG Courses will be levied
Documents To Be Submitted along with The Application Form
Following documents will be enclosed with the application form and the candidates
are advised to check the same before sending their form to AIFD, Bangalore :-
(a) Admit Card and Attendance Card.
(b) Proof of age as per Std X / XII or Equivalent Examination Mark-sheet /TC.
(c) Statement of Marks of qualifying examination with aggregate marks.
(d) Statement of Marks of higher degrees / examinations.
(e) Appropriate certificates in respect of various categories to avail priority of admission which are as under :-
(i) Certificate No 1 (for children of serving Army Personnel having 10 years continuous service in the Army, Retired/Released/Discharged after 10 Years of service/killed in action/died during service/disabled in action/medically boarded out with pension).br> (ii) Certificate No 2 (for step children of Army Personnel who were born from wedlock where at least one parent belonged to the Army/adopted children of Army Personnel who have been adopted at least 5 Years prior to commencement of course).
(iii) Certificate No 3 (for children of Army Medical Corps/AD Corps Officers serving in AIR Force/Navy Medical Establishment/MNS/APS and TA Personnel).
