Applications are invited for the Entrance Examination for admission to Integrated Five Year LL.B Course for the academic year 2023 in the Four Govt. Law Colleges in Kerala and Private Self Financing Law Colleges, which enter in to seat sharing agreement with Government of Kerala.

Eligibility

(i) Nativity: Applicant should be an Indian citizen of Kerala Origin.

(ii) Academic qualifications:
(a) Candidate should have passed the Higher Secondary Examination of the Board of Higher Secondary Education, Kerala or any other examination recognized by the Universities in Kerala as equivalent thereto.
(b) A candidate who has passed an examination in 10+2 Course of schooling recognized by the educational authority of the Central or State Government or possesses such academic qualifications which are considered equivalent to such 10+2 course by the Bar Council of India can also apply for admission to the course. Applicants who have obtained +2 Higher Secondary pass certificate or first degree certificate after prosecuting studies in distance or correspondence method shall also be considered as eligible for admission. The applicants who have obtained 10 +2 or graduation/post graduation through open universities system directly without having any basic qualification for prosecuting such studies are not eligible for admission.
(c) Candidates who are appearing/ appeared for the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply for the Entrance Examination. Such candidates become eligible for admission only if they produce the Pass Certificate and Mark List of the qualifying examination at the time of admission.
(d) No candidate shall be admitted to the Course, unless he/she has passed the qualifying examination with a minimum of 45% marks. However, candidates belonging to Socially and Educationally Backward Classes need only 42% marks and those belonging to the Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes need only 40% marks in the qualifying examination. No rounding off of percentage of marks to the nearest higher integer is permitted.

(iii) Age: The applicant should have completed 17 years of age as on 31.12.2022. The upper age limit for admission to the Integrated Five Year LL-B Course-2021 will be subject to the final order of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India.

(iv) Qualifying Standards in the Entrance Examination: To qualify in the Entrance Examination, and thereby figure in the rank list, a General/SEBC category applicant should secure a minimum of 10% of the total marks in the Entrance Examination whereas a candidate belonging to SC/ST category should get a minimum of 5% of the total marks.

Entrance Examination

The Entrance Examination will be conducted at Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam, Thrissur and Kozhikode on 6.08.2023 (Sunday). The Entrance Examination will be of two and a half hours duration (10.00 am to 12.30 pm) and will consist of 200 Objective Type Questions of three marks each [Total: 200 x 3 =600]. For every wrong answer one mark each will be deducted. The questions will be based on General English, General Knowledge and Aptitude for Legal Studies.

How and When to Apply

Candidates seeking admission to the Course can apply online on the website www.cee.kerala.gov.in of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations. The website will be open for online registration from 12.07.2023 to 19.07.2023, 5 p.m. While applying online, the candidate has to upload a recent passport size colour photograph in jpg format, with light background, of size between 10 kb to 30 kb of size and resolution 150 x 200 pixels

Application Fee:

The application fee is Rs. 685/-(Rupees six hundred and fifty only) for General and SEBC candidates and Rs. 345/-(Rupees three hundred and twenty five only) for SC/ST candidates. The required fee can be remitted by way of online payment or by way of e-challan available during the submission of online application. Payment through e-challan can be made in cash at any of the Head/Sub Post Offices in Kerala. Application fee once remitted will not be refunded. After remitting the fee the candidate has to upload a recent passport size colour photograph, signature and required documents/certificates along with the online application. No need to send the printout of the application to the office of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations.

After completing the uploading of all necessary certificates/documents, candidates can take a printout of the application and the uploaded documents by clicking on the link ‘Print Application’. Candidates are advised to keep a soft copy or printout of the application for future reference. Printout of application or any supporting document should not be sent to the Office of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations.

Warning: Applications with defective or incomplete certificates will be rejected. Belated applications will not be accepted. Documents or certificates furnished after the last date fixed for submission of online applications will not be considered on any account. No candidate will be permitted to incorporate any additional details in the application form or to submit any additional documents after the submission of the online application.

Issue of Admit Card: The Admit Card for the entrance examination can be downloaded from the website of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, www.cee.kerala.gov.in . Admit card will not be sent by post from this office. The date of issue will be notified later.

Centralized Allotment Process (CAP) and Online Submission of Options

The Centralized Allotment Process (CAP) will be done online to give allotment to the Integrated Five Year LL.B courses. Candidates will be allowed to exercise their options for courses/colleges as per their ranks in the entrance examination for admission to Integrated Five Year LL.B courses-2021 conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations. The allotment of courses/colleges for the General Merit and reservation categories will be strictly in accordance with the rank list and category lists .
