NOTE : IIFT exam used to be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) but it was discontinued from 2024 admissions. IIFT now shortlists candidates for MBA International Business (MBA (IB)) and MBA Business Analytics (MBA (BA)) through CAT score.
Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, set up by Government of India in 1963
under the aegis of Ministry of Commerce and Industry has evolved as a top
ranking B-School with the prestigious AACSB Accreditation and A+ NAAC ranking.
The Institute was granted Deemed to be University status in 2002. The
institute conducts highly prestigious academic programmes viz. Ph.D. in
Management & Economics, MBA (International Business), MBA (Business Analytics),
MA (Economics) with specialization in International Trade, and a host of other
programs, across its campuses located in New Delhi & Kolkata mainly, as well as
Kakinada (Andhra Pradesh) and GIFT City (Gujarat).
The MBA (International Business) is a foundational course for developing
a competent cadre of business executives to meet the country's growing requirements
for training personnel in the field of international business management. MBA(IB)
is a six trimester (2 year full time) general management programme with a focus
on international business.
Mode of Admission :
Indian Institutes of Foreign Trade (IIFT) - MBA (IB) and MBA (BA) admission
2025 - 2027 exam is based on CAT 2024 score, Group Discussion (GD), Personal
Interview (PI) and other papameters
i.e. Gender Diversity, Academic Diversity
and Work Experience. The process will be carried out in two stages as follows:
Stage 1: (Short listing):
The short listing of
candidates for Group Discussion and Personal Interview will be done on the basis
of CAT 2024 Score including sectional cut offs and Gender Diversity.

will be constituted by IIFT. The panel score ranges from 0 to 10.

Reservations: Seats are reserved as per Government of India rules. The reservations are subject to candidates meeting the admission requirement of the Institute under different categories. There are 480 seats (240 at Delhi and 240 at Kolkata) For MBA (IB). For MBA (BA) there are 60 seats at Delhi campus.
How to apply
Candidates have to apply for IIFT MBA(IB) ''Online'' ONLY. Candidates, who wish to fill in Online Application Form, please visit IIFT website at https://www.iift.ac.in/iift/new-admissions.php . In case of any problem in registration process, the candidates can contact on 011- 39147213 and E- mail: admission@iift.edu. They must indicate their CAT Registration No., IIFT Application No. and registered email address in their communications.
The Application shall not be accepted in any other mode. Only one application is to be submitted by a candidate. More than one application i.e. Multiple application forms submitted by a candidate will be rejected.
It is suggested that the Candidates have the following ready before starting the filling of the online application form:
Four Steps to Apply Online for the candidates who are appearing for IIFT MBA(IB) examination for the academic session-2023-25
Step-1: Register for Online Application Form and note down system generated Application Number. The candidate should supply all the details while filling the Online Application Form and is also required to create PASSWORD and choose Security Question and enter his/her Answer. After successful submission of the personal details, Application number will be generated and it will be used to complete the remaining Steps of the Application Form and will also be required for all future correspondence. For subsequent logins, candidate will be able to login directly with the respective system generated Application Number and created Password.
Step-2: Complete the Application Form Candidate can login with the system generated Application Number and created Password for completing the Application Form.
Step-3: Upload Scanned Images of Candidate's Photograph, Candidate's Signature and Candidate's Caste Certificate if the Candidate is applying Under GEN-EWS, OBC-NCL, SC, ST or PwD Category.
(a) Scanned photograph and signature should be in JPG/JPEG format.
(b) Size of scanned photograph should be between 10 kb to 200 kb.
(c) Size of
scanned signature should be between 4 kb to 30 kb.
(d) Size of scanned
Caste/Category Certificate should size between 50 kb-300 kb
(e) The recent
photograph should be coloured or black/white (but clear contrast).
Note: Upload the correct Photograph, Signature and Caste/Category Certificate as the facility for correction in images will not be given.
Step-4: Payment by Debit/Credit Card/Net Banking/PAYTM/UPI Service: The candidate has to select Debit card/Credit card/Net banking/PAYTM option to pay the application fee and follow the online instruction to complete the payment of fee. After successful payment, candidate will be able to print the Confirmation Page. In case the Confirmation Page is not generated after payment of fee then the transaction is cancelled and the candidates has to approach the concerned bank for refund of amount. However the candidate has to make another transaction, in case the Confirmation Page is not generated.
