Admission to MBBS Course for the year 2024 at AFMC will be through NEET UG – 2024.

Candidates seeking admission to AFMC Pune will have to qualify the NEET UG – 2024 examination conducted by NTA.

The Ministry of Human Resource development (MHRD), Government of India (GOI) has established National Testing Agency (NTA) as an independent autonomous and self-sustained premier testing organization for conducting efficient, transparent and international standard test in order to access the competency of candidates for admission to premier higher education institutions.

As per regulations framed under the Indian Medical Council Act -1956 and the Dentists Act-1948 and as amended from time to time, NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST (UG) 2024 (NEET (UG) - 2024) will be conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses in Indian Medical/Dental Colleges run with the approval of Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India under the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India except for the institutions established through an Act of Parliament i.e. AIIMS and JIPMER Puducherry.

The NEET (UG) - 2024 will be conducted on Sunday, 5th May, 2024. The responsibility of the NTA is limited to the conduct of the entrance examination, declaration of result and for providing an “All India Rank merit list” to the Directorate General Health Service, Government of India for the conduct of counselling for 15% All India Quota Seats and for supplying the result to States/other Counseling Authorities.

Eligibility for MBBS Course :

1. The candidate should be a citizen of India. Foreign nationals of Indian origin may be admitted into AFMC only after they have acquire Indian Citizenship or in respect of whom the Ministry of Home Affairs issues a certificate of eligibility.
2. Must be unmarried. Marriage during the course is not permitted.
3. Should be medically fit as per prescribed standards by the Govt of India, Ministry of Defence.
4. Age criteria: The candidate should have attained the age of 17 years on 31 Dec of admission year but must not have attained the age of 4 years on that date.

Admission to Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) Pune, for the year 2024 will be through NEET UG – 2024.

Candidates will have to appear in the NEET UG – 2024 and also apply to AFMC in the Online form.
