The essential details are provided to enable candidates to fill their application form for the various Medical Postgraduate Degree courses (MD/MS), Diploma in Clinical Pathology (DCP) and M.Ch NeurosurgeryBroad specialty (post MBBS) course for the academic session 2026. Please go through this carefully before filling the form. Application form is available ONLY online. Only candidates, who have qualified in the NEET-PG 2026 by obtaining minimum of marks at 50th percentile or revised applicable minimum qualifying percentile as determined by the Government, will be eligible for admission. All courses and admissions to our College are subject to applicable regulations by University / Government / National Medical Commission / orders that may be passed by the Honble Supreme and High Courts.
All candidates are aware of the objectives of the Christian Medical College Vellore, which is the establishment, maintenance and development of Christian Medical Colleges and Hospitals in India, where women and men shall receive an education of the highest grade in the art and science of medicine and of nursing, or in one or other of the related professions, to equip them in the spirit of Christ for service in the relief of suffering and the promotion of health.

THE APPLICATION PROCESS
Application forms can be accessed ONLY online through the Christian Medical College, Vellore website http://www.admissions.cmcvellore.ac.in from the date mentioned in the admission timetable. Duly filled pplication forms must be submitted online with a basic application fee of Rs. 1500/-, before the dates stated in the admission timetable. All the supporting documents should reach the Office of Registrar, CMC, Vellore -2, by post, on or before the date mentioned in the admission timetable. Candidates who have obtained a minimum of 50th percentile or revised applicable minimum qualifying percentile in the NEET-PG 2026 as determined by the statutory body, are eligible for admission. Candidates should be a citizen of India as per the eligibility criteria of the State Selection Committee, Tamil Nadu.
The application fee can be paid by any one of the methods given below:
Online payment using Credit Card / Debit Card / Net Banking / UPI.
APPLICATION FEE WILL NOT BE REFUNDED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE
ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION: MD / MS / Diploma in Clinical Pathology / M.Ch Neurosurgery Broad Specialty (post MBBS)
Candidates who have obtained M.B.B.S Degree from the Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University or any other University recognized as equivalent by the Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University and the National Medical Commission and have completed their Compulsory Rotating Residential Internship before the date stated in the Tamil Nadu Management Quota Prospectus 2026, are eligible to apply for the postgraduate diploma and degree courses. However, the candidates should have obtained full registration with their respective State Medical Councils at the time of counselling.
Further, candidates should also meet the eligibility criteria as defined in the TN Management Quota prospectus for self-financing colleges, to be released in 2026.
Post Diploma candidates with a PG diploma c e r t i f i c a t e in the same subject need to undergo only 2 years of training for the PG degree course. Those who have completed P G D ip l o ma i n C l i n i c a l P a t h o l o g y ( DCP) will not have this benefit for MD Pathology / MD Transfusion Medicine.
SELECTION PROCESS
As per the order of the Honble Supreme Court (I.A. No. 110584/2022 in W.P.(C) No. 8/2022) dated 10th August, 2022:
50% of the seats shall be filled up by the management by the same procedure that was being followed for earlier academic years by the college on the basis of inter-se merit as per the NEET results.
50% of the seats will be filled by the State Government out of which
(i) 30% of the seats will be filled by the State Government following its
policy of reservation strictly in accordance with the NEET merit list
(ii)
20% of the seats shall be filled by the State Government candidates belonging to
the Christian minorityfrom the State strictly in accordance with the NEET merit
list. CMC graduates who serve and fulfill the bond obligation outside Tamil Nadu
as part of CMCs graduation program will be eligible for admission under this 20%
minority quota, upon certification by the Principal of the Institution and them
being within the merit for Christian minority.
