IAI Actuarial Common Entrance Test (ACET)

Important Dates

Actuarial Common Entrance Test (ACET) is conducted by Institute of Actuaries of India. The exam will be held at least twice in a year.

Eligibility

• Students who have appeared 10+2 or an equivalent examination and waiting for the result.
• A candidate who have passed 10+2 or any other higher courses/examinations.
• Diploma.
• Finance, or any other stream, but you have love for Mathematics and skills in Numeracy.
• Mathematical Sciences: Maths, Statistics, Econometrics or any other.
• Engineering.
• Management.
• Chartered Accountant, Cost Accountant or a Company Secretary.

ACET Exam Structure

1. ACET is a 3 hour, 100 marks online exam which has 70 multiple choice questions with one correct answer for each question.
2. The distribution of questions will be:
   * 45 questions - 1 mark each
   * 20 questions - 2 marks each
   * 05 questions - 3 marks each
3. The Allocation of Marks will be as under:
   * Mathematics - 30 marks
   * Statistics - 30 marks
   * Data Interpretation - 15 marks
   * English - 15 marks
   * Logical Reasoning - 10 marks
4. ACET will be conducted in a single day with one slot.
5. There will not be any negative marking for incorrect answers.

Note:

The registration fee for ACET March 2026 is Rs. 500.

Procedure for Online Registration

1. Visit IAI website and follow the link on ACET details Click https://www.actuariesindia.org/
2. Kindly use following link for Sign up or login
3. Students are advised to use desktop/ laptop for registration. Please do not use Mobile phone for the purpose.
4. It is mandatory to upload your passport size photograph as per the mentioned specification. You will receive a confirmation email, in case your uploaded photograph is up to the mark, else you will be prompted to re-upload.
5. On filling up the Online Registration Form, you will receive a confirmation mail at your registered email id giving you the link to proceed further by giving other details and uploading your photograph.
6. After successful registration, you will be able to download the Welcome Kit of one Sample Question Paper, Indicative Solution from your login download tab using the same id and password you had used for online ACET registration.
7. You will also receive an e-mail on your registered e-mail address confirming the registration. (Inform us immediately, at acet@actuariesindia.org / jyoti@actuariesindia.org  naresh@actuariesindia.org in case, you do not receive it).
8. All correspondence will be and has to be done through your registered email id.
9. Hall Ticket will be download from the website.

The syllabus will include the questions for :

• Section-I Mathematics, Statistics and Data Interpretation having 55% of weightage and
• Section-II English and Logical Reasoning having 45% of weightage.
