Gauhati University invited applications from eligible candidates for admission into the B.Tech (Lateral)‚ M.Tech and MS courses for the session 2016-17
Courses Details and Eligibility
Admission Criteria
Admission Test for B.Tech (lateral entry ), to be conducted by respective departments‚ GU on 20th July, 2016. Admission to B.Tech Course: (4years) is as per CEE rank and M.S course is on the basis of marks obtained in B.S. in Electronics and Communication Technology‚ Computer Science and Engineering‚ Biotechnology‚ Information Technology
How to apply
Students who are allotted from the CEE counselling and those selected through GUIST B.Tech.-Lateral Entrance test, have to fill-up and submit the prescribed application forms for admission. Admission forms are available in the websites as well as at GUIST office. For M.Tech. and M.S. the prescribed form may be collected from GU Publication Department/ GU Information Centre at Ambari/ GU website. Candidates are advised to GU website www.gauhati.ac.in for further information.
Entrance Test Fee
An amount of Rs. 300/- (Rupees two hundred) only as fee for the Entrance Test
for each subject in the form of Demand Draft in favour of GUIST payable at Guwahati‚
or in cash in the GU SBI Cash Counter in favour of GUIST will have to be deposited
in the respective Department at the time of submission of Application form
