Karnataka Innovation and Technology Society, Bangalore invites Online Applications for Admission to job oriented one-year Post-Graduate Diploma courses that provides for job ready workforce to the Biotechnology industry through Bi SE.

The 2nd phase of BTFA, renamed as Biotechnology Skill enhancement Program ((BiSEP) aims to continue to educate and empower human resources to bridge the gap between biotech industry and academia. A very unique initiative in India covers 9 Biotech Domains in 18 reputed PG Institutions across 8 districts of Karnataka

Karnataka Innovation and Technology Society, a registered society with the brand name K-Tech under the Department of Information Technology, Biotechnology and Science and Technology is facilitating and promoting the IT and BT sectors in the State by organizing as well as participating in Trade shows, Conferences, Symposia, Seminars held at National and International levels etc.

Duration

1Year program ( 6-month Academic training and 6-months Industry Internship)

Eligibility:

• The candidate must have passed either Bachelor's / Master’s degree examination with minimum of 50% in MSc in Biotechnology/Microbiology/Biochemistry/Bioinformatics or any other Life Science related courses OR B.E / B.Tech. – Biotechnology or Bioinformatics or B.Pharm/B.Sc Agriculture and B.Vsc or any 4 year degree courses in Life Sciences with Minimum of 50% in qualifying degree examination
• The minimum marks for students belonging to SC / ST categories shall be 40% in the qualifying degree examination

Reservation

50% of seats are reserved  for  Resident Students of Karnataka. Reservations for students belonging to OBCs/SC/ST and Hyderabad - Karnataka regions are also provided

Admission Criteria

Through online entrance Teet - Karnataka – Biotechnology Aptitude Test (K-BAT) and counseling.
