Important Dates

SMVDU, established under an Act of Jammu & Kashmir State Legislature with a foundation grant from Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, was inaugurated on 20th of August 2004. The Academic Structure of the University follows the IIT academic pattern. The University is not limited by the pursuit of excellence in a particular domain, but is aspiring for excellence in the integration of diverse domains.

Duration : 2 years

Eligibility :

• GGraduates/Final Year Graduation students appearing for CAT/XAT/GMAT/CMAT or who already have valid CAT/XAT/GMAT/CMAT/NMAT/ATMA/MAT scores. Scores of any one of the above exams conducted in June 2021 up to March 2022 will be valid for the admission.
• Full time graduation courses in any discipline.
• Consistent academic record of not less than 50% aggregate in 10th Std, 12th Std. and Degree. Students in final year of Degree to consider their percentage upto the Second Year.

How to Apply:

Appear for any one of the following entrance exams :

• Appear for CAT Exam (CAT 2020) being conducted by Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) during  November 2020. For more information please visit https://iimcat.ac.in
• Appear for XAT-2022  during January 2022 and update your online registration of XAT 2022 at www.xlri.edu to indicate your preference for SDMIMD. For more details visit www.xlri.edu.
• Appear for GMAT (Scores to be considered as per GMAT score validity rules)
• Appear for CMAT during January 2022 (January 2020 CMAT Scores accepted)

Selection Process

• Applicants will be shortlisted based on consistent academic performance, competitive exam score and work experience as applicable
• Short listed applicants will be called for Personal Interview in March 2022 to be held at several centres across India as mentioned in the Application Form (Skype interviews held on request)
• Selected students will be intimated by email/ phone/mobile
