University of Calcutta (UOM) invites applications Bachelor of Library
and Information Science (BLIS) Course 2019.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidate with Bachelor Degree with Honours (10+2+3) or Master degree or a degree in a technical subject (of the pattern 10+2+4 or 10+2+5) such as Medical Science‚ Engineering‚ Law etc. of this University or having an equivalent degree of any other University or Institute recognized by this university will be eligible for admission to the BLIS Course. Those appearing in the final Part of Honours Examination will also be allowed to sit for the Admission Test. But their admission to BLIS will be subject to the condition of securing Honours Degree when the result comes out and also according to the merit list of BLIS Admission Test.

Selection Procedure:
Candidates will selected on the basis of the Merit list of Entrance Examination‚
with reservation as per norms of the University of Calcutta (22% for SC - 06%
for ST - 02% for OBC & Physically Handicapped - 03%)
Entrance Exam will be held on 3rd October 2015 (Saterday) at Asutosh Building for which candidates must report at 11.00 AM with Admit Cards
How to Apply
Application form along with the Information Brochure is available at University
Sales Counter on payment of Rs 250/-
Application filled in the prescribed form for Entrance examination for admission
to the Bachelor of Library and Information Science Course will be received by
the Department of Library and Information Science‚ University of Calcutta till
30th September 2015 (12.00 Noon - 03.00 PM) from eligible candidates .
