Selection will be based on the scores obtained in PET and qualifying examination. To be eligible for admission to B.E. / B.Arch. Course in Unreserved Category (all classes), it is compulsory for candidates to secure minimum 33% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics taken together in PET. There is no condition of obtaining minimum marks to PET to be eligible for admission by candidates belonging to reserved categories (scheduled caste, scheduled tribe and other backward class categories). Admission will be given to candidates finding place in the merit list prepared on the basis of total marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Maths in their qualifying examination.

Merit list of the candidates will be prepared separately for each of the categories, Unreserved (UR), Schedule Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and other Backward Classes (except creamy layer / OBC) by Professional Examination Board (PEB), Bhopal on the basis of marks obtained by candidate in the PET (Pre Engineering Test). Admissions will be done through counselling from those Merit lists.

The merit of candidates obtaining same marks will be decided in the following order of importance of subjects, marks obtained by them being the basis:- First Maths, Second Physics, Third Chemistry.  In case the marks obtained by Candidates are same, older in age will get higher placement in the merit list.

For Students securing gold medal in sports competition of National Level, 10% Weightage on the basis of marks obtained in admission test conducted by professional Examination Board.

There will be arrangement of 1 year foundation course before admission to first year in all degree course in all Institutions for candidates of reserved categories obtaining less then 33% merit in PET. Students will have to study English, Maths, Physics and Chemistry Subjects. After completing the study, on the basis of the result of Examination conducted by Madhya Pradesh Board of Technical Education and allotting the branch accordingly to merit, candidate will be admitted to first year in that Institution any for the next academic session
