Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) : Selection & Admission

Admission is strictly based on OJEE merit rank and choice of the candidate with respect to Institution and course given during the counselling process.

The candidates will be called for document verification during the counselling process for admission into various programme as per the schedule which will be available on OJEE website.

During document verification all certificates in original will be verified. For records of the college, a set of attested copies of the certificates/ marksheet etc. will be collected during document verification and will be sent to the colleges.

A candidate selected through the counselling process for a course in a college/University has to take admission in the respective college/University.

Each candidate has to pay a non-refundable counselling fee. Details about the payment of counseling and part admission fees will be given in the counselling Brochure. A candidate must demand the headwise break up of fees that he/she pays at the college level. The procedure of refund of fees will be as per Government of Odisha / UGC / AICTE / PCI guidelines / instructions issued from time to time.

No candidate can be admitted to a college on the basis of marks scored in qualifying examination. A student admitted to a college against a course cannot be transferred to another course in the same college in the First year under any circumstances. A student admitted to a college cannot be transferred to another college in the First year in same course or in another course.

Results of the qualifying examination must be available on the date of document verification during counselling. Candidates, whose results are not available on the day of document verification, will not be allowed to participate in the counselling process.

Merit List:

Separate merit list for all qualifying candidates shall be drawn on the basis of OJEE results in the following manner.

  1. One list for candidates seeking admission to Engineering / Technology (B.Tech) degree courses on the basis of marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
  2. One list for candidates seeking admission to Pharmacy (B.Pharm) degree course on the basis of marks obtained either in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or in Physics, Chemistry and Biology whichever is higher.
  3. One list for candidates of diploma streams seeking admission under Lateral Entry scheme to engineering and technology (LE in B.Tech) on the basis of marks obtained in diploma test in engineering/technology.
  4. One list for candidates of diploma streams seeking admission under Lateral Entry scheme to Pharmacy (LE in B. Pharm) on the basis of marks obtained in diploma test in Pharmacy.
  5. One list for candidates of B.Sc. or +3 Sc. (should have passed Mathematics as a subject in +2 level) streams seeking admission under lateral entry scheme to engineering / technology (LE in B.Tech) on the basis of marks obtained in +3 Sc / B.Sc test.
  6. (vi) One list for candidates seeking admission to MCA courses will be on basis of marks obtained in MCA test.
  7. One list for candidates seeking admission under Lateral Entry scheme to MCA on the basis of marks obtained in MCA – LE test.
  8. One list for candidate seeking admission to MBA / PGDM / PGCM / PGDM (Executive) will be on the basis of marks obtained in entrance test for MBA / PGDM / PGCM / PGDM (Executive).
  9. One list for candidates seeking admission to B. Arch course will be on the basis of marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
  10. One list for candidates seeking admission to M. Tech course will be on basis of marks obtained in PGAT test.
  11. One list for candidates seeking admission to M. Pharm course will be on basis of marks obtained in PGAT test.
  12. One list for candidates seeking admission to M. Arch course will be on basis of marks obtained in PGAT test.
  13. One list for candidates seeking admission to Dual Degree in Masters degree in Applied Management (MAM) on the basis of marks obtained in MAM test.
  14. One list for candidates seeking admission to Dual Degree in Masters degree in Computer Application (MCA) courses on the basis of marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
  15. One list for candidates seeking admission to Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS) degree courses on the basis of marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
  16. One list for candidates seeking admission Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) to degree courses on the basis of marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

In addition, separate merit lists will also be drawn for candidates qualifying under each of the reservation categories. Each successful candidate shall be given a rank card, which he/she has to download from OJEE website.

Document Verification

The original certificates and mark sheets along with two sets (set 1 and set 2) of Photocopies of certificates and mark sheets as per eligibility of the candidate MUST be produced during document verification as detailed below.

SET 1 (To be deposited at Nodal Centre)

1. Downloaded Rank Card.
2. On line registration slip.
3. Check list signed by the candidate at the bottom in original.4. Photocopy of H.S.C. showing the date of birth.
5. Photocopy of 10 + 2 Pass certificate 
6. Photocopy copy of the 10 + 2 Mark Sheet 
7. Photocopy of School Leaving / College Leaving Certificate.
8. Original Certificate from the Head of the Institution last attended.
9. Original ‘Permanent Resident of Odisha’ Certificate  / Nativity Certificate from concerned Tahasildar.
10. Original Certificate of Employment of Candidate’s parent / Spouse Employer: Govt. of Odisha / Govt. of India / Govt. of India Undertakings and / Govt. of Odisha Undertakings located in Odisha at the time of application.
11. Original SC / ST certificate by birth
12. Original Certificate of Ex-serviceman
13. Original Certificate in support of Outlying Oriya Speaking Tract (OL)  and certificate issued by OJEE with respect to Oriya test conducted by OJEE 
14. Photocopy of relevant certificates in support of Non-Resident Indians (NRI).
15. Photocopy of Green Card if claiming seat under GC category.
16. Original Tuition Fee Waiver Certificate i.e., Income certificate
17. Original GATE/GPAT card for MTech/MPharm.
18. Original NATA Score card for B.Arch.
19. Original relevant managerial / supervisory experience certificate of minimum five years, for candidates seeking admission to PGDM (Executive) programme. The candidate has to submit a No Objection Certificate from the present employer.
20. Original full time work experience certificate of minimum two years in a registered firm / Company / Industry / Educational and / Government, Autonomous Organisation in the relevant field in which admission is sought for admission to M.Tech (Part-Time). The candidate has to submit a No Objection Certificate from the present employer for admission to the course at the time of document verification.
21. Other relevant documents, if any

SET 2 (To be returned to the candidates after verification at Nodal Centre)

1. Original H.S.C. or any other relevant certificate showing the date of birth.
2. Original 10 + 2 Pass certificate 
3. Original 10 + 2 Mark Sheet
4. Original School Leaving / College Leaving Certificate.
5. Original Green Card issued by Family Welfare Department of Government of Odisha (if the candidate takes admission under Green Card category, the original Green Card will be stamped and returned to the candidate after admission).
6. Original relevant certificates in support of Non-Resident Indians (NRI).
7. Other relevant documents, if any 

NOTE: The candidate must keep Photocopies of all the original documents submitted at the time of document verification.

Reservation :

The reservation policy of the Government of Odisha and the Government approved procedure given in the brochure for allocation of seats during counselling will be strictly followed. 

In a private professional educational institution other than minority institution not exceeding 5% of the approved intake may be filled up by NRI from the merit list prepared on the basis of OJEE as per AICTE guideline issued in this regard.

Where any shortfall in filling up of seats from NRI occurs, such vacant seats may be filled up from the merit list of All India Engineering Entrance Examination (JEE (MAIN), erstwhile AIEEE) or All India Medical Entrance Examination (NEET-UG, erstwhile AIPMT), as the case may be, conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education: Provided that while filling up such vacant seats NRI shall be preferred. In a private professional educational institution 15% of the approved in take may be filled up strictly from the merit list of All India Engineering Entrance Examination (JEE (MAIN) or All India Medical Entrance Examination (NEET-UG), as the case may be, conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education.
