a) The candidate seeking admission to the first year of Sangeet Shiromani Diploma course in Music must have undergone training in music for three years or have attained minimum standard equivalent to B.A and the candidate will be required to appear for a practical test. (b) Candidates who have passed the B.A with music from Delhi University or an examination recognised as equivalent thereto but have failed to secure the requisite percentage for admission to M.A course in music would be considered for direct admission to 2nd year class of two year Sangeet Shiromani Diploma course on individual merit subject to fulfillment of other requirements including performance at the practical test. (c) Candidates including foreigners possessing previous experience in Indian music & holding a certificate from a recognised institution would also be considered for direct admission to 2nd year class of the two year Sangeet Shiromani Diploma course on individual merit subject to fulfillment of other requirements including the performance at the practical test.
