Library: The Central Library is the hub of information services in the university. It serves as a creative and innovative partner in supporting the teaching, learning, and research activities. With a fast growing collection, both in digital and print format using state-of-the-art facilities, currently the Central Library has more than 169899 books over 4,500 CD-ROMs and subscribes to more than 95 national and international journals/magazines in print besides a larger number of e-journals through INDEST-AICTE Consortium for Subscription of International Journals of IEEE/IEE (IEL Online+ASPP), ASME are available to the academic community all over the campus.Central library is a member of DELNET which connects over 5000 libraries over the country and is a member of National Digital Library as well. The Central Library’s operations and services are fully computerized. For this, we have specialized user-friendly open source software called KOHA. In order to ease the track and circulation of the books/journals we also Bar-Code based computerized circulation system. This software facilitates automated circulation (issue & return) of the resources and speedy access to bibliographies, locations and availability information of the resources stocked in the library. We endeavour to further improve all our efforts to facilitate right information to the right user at the right time.
Laboratories: GLA University has a total of 157 well equipped labs where the students get a hands-on experience on various emerging technologies through which they get an opportunity to expand their practical understanding of how a particular phenomenon works. This practical understanding comes really handy when they use those tools in practical situation, actually, in a corporate or on a project. Every department has its own laboratories where Students work with state-of-the-art machines under expert guidance from experienced and trained Faculty members.
Cafeteria: For students to grow mentally, physical growth is mandatory. They need proper nourishment which is only possible through Balanced Diet. Keeping that in mind all the cafeterias have menu that are planned by a group of expert dieticians which provide them healthy and nutritious food. We understand that students have cravings for snacks every now and then but we ensure that they don’t eat junk. The food provided in cafeteria is hygienic and vegetarian. We have 4 cafeterias in campus that helps the students to fulfil their cravings as and when they want. The cafeteria offers a good menu of multi-cuisine delights, amidst a lively, jolly atmosphere.
sports Facility: GLA University firmly believes in the saying, ‘In a healthy body resides a healthy mind’. Sports get their due in the university in such a way that faculty, staff members as well as students take active participation in the activities which are organized in the university round-the-year. National-level players serve as coaches for various sports. Each sport has got dedicated staff and amenities. The events which are earmarked for sports dot the academic calendar of the university be it national level, inter college, inter school or other inter and intra departmental activities. GLA University provides well-furnished hostel facility to its outstation candidates. The campus hostels are surrounded by lush green lawns and playing fields. The separate facilities for boys and girls, caring wardens and a tight security ensures a pleasant stay allowing you to focus on your academics. The hostels have complete power backup. Facilities for indoor games like TT, carom, chess, Television etc. are also available.
A warden / hostel in-charge looks after the administration of the hostel. Students enjoy a homely and comfortable stay with a sense of camaraderie and fraternity. Hygienic, quality food prepared by professionally-qualified cooks is provided to the students in the hostel canteen. Meals provided in the hostel mess are wholesome and nourishing. The mess caters to the tastes of the students with varied culinary preferences from different regions. The mess menu is planned and managed by the students in consultation with the caterer and the management.
We have 15 boys’ hostels with a housing capacity of 4300+ boys and 4 girls’ hostel with a seating capacity of 1400 girls.Students are provided TV, Newspapers etc. all the hostels have in-door games like, Carom, Badminton, TT. A multi-purpose Gym has been set-up for complete fitness which include cardio & strength training.
There is a newly built 800-room hostel is Awarded one of the best 11 worldwide architecture design by world architecture community UK, this hostel is separated into five, 4-level blocks and weaving along the site in a pattern inspired by the streets of the historical center. The orientation of the buildings towards the north gives them views of the garden areas.
Each room has a wedge-shaped bay window that provides protection from the sun and lets in natural light at the same time. Ventilation openings onto the internal corridors facilitate cross-ventilation that does away with the need for a climate control system in a zone where the average temperature is in excess of 30° C for 8 months of the year.
Scholarship Facility
Provides Scholarships: The University grants scholarships to the deserving and eligible candidate with excellent academic achievement. Scholarships are subject to marks / grades scored in last mandatory eligible examination for the course opted by the student (i.e. Class 10th for 3 years Diploma Programs , 10+2 for Bachelor Programs and Graduation for Post Graduate Programs)

The T&P cell in co-ordination with the various technical and non-technical departments regularly organised industrial visits to acquire technical activities involved in production design, maintenance of engineering products in case of technical courses. For non-technical students these visits focus on learning through interaction with managers who share with the students the recent developments, strategies and market moves of the industry.
