The G.C.W.Rohtak is one of the oldest and premier institutes of Haryana. It came into existence in the year 1959. Initially it was a Govt. co-educational institution which was later converted to a Govt. Women College, the first in Haryana. with a vision to make it a centre of excellence to fulfil the educational needs of the women of the area. Since then, it is providing value based knowledge and evolving young girls into cultured and responsible citizens.
It has a new library Block with modern facilities.The College library stores more than 78,000 books and subscribes more than 100 regular magazines and journals. The College provides ample facilities for development of an integrated personality. The College has vast playing fields for out-door games .There are facilities for playing basketball and soccer on the College Campus. The Gymnasium provides facilities for gymnastics, badminton, table tennis and other indoor games .The well equipped Gym takes care of the physical health of the students and faculty
Hostel Facility
On-Campus Residential facilities for out-station students of College have been an integral part of College life. Hostel plays an important role in maintaining the multi-cultural ambience of College. The Residence is housed in two Blocks located behind the College campus
