With a concrete plan to offer excellence in techno education and to meet the present status of industrial growth academicians and integellicia of Vidya Sagar Charitable Trust formed KIST in the year 2001.It has got AICTE and Govt. of Orissa approval and is affiliated to Biju Pattnaik University of Technology(BPUT) Rourkela KIST provides quality techno education in a highly disciplined environment at par with international standards special emphasis is given on development of students to empower them to stand up to the challange of the present employment market of the world. With a sprawling campus of 35 acres, the college is located at Jatni in a lush green atmosphere away from the bustle of the crowded city life.The glittering buildings of the college are beautified with appropriate avenue plants, amusement parks, yoga centre,playground etc.Not to mention ,the well equipped laboratories,classrooms and a well -stocked library which are the hall mark of excellence in education which are all in place

Transportation: KIST has its own 15 buses with 50 bus transport staffs.It provides services for the students and staffs from Bhubaneswar and other near by areas.It saves precious time of students and enhances the teaching-learning efficiency.
Library: The library of KIST has a wide range of reading materials which include magazines, books, newspapers, journals and digital media. The library at KIST is the house of more than 31,000 volumes, 60 journals and 12 newspapers and 25 magazines related to technical trends, general knowledge and articles from reputed authors.
KIST is adequately equipped with well designed WIRE-LESS laboratories of more than 350 P-IV 15″TFT/LCD multimedia latest Computers.All PCs are loaded with life time licensed ELX Power Desktop 5.0 comprises of 100 advanced softwares. All PCs are properly powered by international branded very high range online DSP UPS and high end Server packed machines such as IBM Multicore /Multiprocessor,SAN,IBM NAS,IBM NAS,IBM AMD Opteron,IBM e-server,IBM X-series .these high-end computers provides the solution for the database,Application based web server,FTP Server DNS,NFS,Gateway.Four ELX Power servers 2.0,ELX VMW, Sun Solaris Applications to cater the actual needs of the student & staffs.
