Samarth Mahavidyala

This college is run by the Rashtriya Shikshan Sanstha Lakhni, which was founded before independence of India in 1941. Our Sanstha's founder Late Shikshan Maharshi Bapusaheb Lakhanikar was a great patriot and a major social worker. He dreamt of a beautiful, educated and civilized society & always tried to realize this dream. Throughout his life, he worked for the overall development of Rashtriya Shikshan Sanatha. In those days, good schools & good colleges were the basic needs of the rural area. He started Samarth Vidyalaya Lakhani in 1941, Samarth Mahavidyalaya Lakhani in 1964 and started many schools and libraries. Our first principal Late Shri. M. T. Deshpande belonged to the reputed Hislop College Nagpur. It was because of the influence of Bapusaheb Lakhanikar that many learned lecturers and staff joined this college. In a very short time the college got established as a reputed institution in Nagpur University Nagpur.

Library: Our library is one of the rich libraries in Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj, Nagpur University, Nagpur. It is open to all the students and the staff during the working hours. Many rare books and various types of magazines are the major attractions of this library. The Librarian Dr. D.R. Gabhane runs ‘Samarth Study Circle’ which is a guidance cell for competitive examination.
Seminar/Conference Hall: Our college has a seminar/conference hall for all the student presentations, training programs, quizzes and guest lectures and also student clubs and association activities. This seminar/conference hall is extensively used by all the department of the college.
The Indoor Games Complex, has facilities for badminton, table-tennis, caroms and chess and it has a gymnasium. The Institute has an well-equipped 8 stations gymnasium and weight lifting sets and about 100 students make use of these facilities everyday. Apart from this, out door games facilities like Cricket, Volley ball, Hand ball, Kabbadi, Kho-Kho are also available for sports and games purposes.
Prayer Hall & Meditation Center: The institute also has prayer hall, Where the students assemble for daily prayer. Important guidance and instructions are given to the students after the prayer.
canteen : A canteen located in the campus caters to the needs of students and staff from 7.30 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. An open air space with low-grown hedges all round offers a pleasant experience of having snacks etc.
