Established in 1989, Government Mahamaya College is affiliated with the University Grants Commission and has been accredited grade ‘B’ by NACC. It began functioning in the building of a Govt. Higher Secondary School and was shifted to its own building in 1996. It is presently situated 3 Km. away from Ratanpur on the Chapora-Belgehna route. The institution began its journey with courses offered only in humanities but now, it has also taken Science and Commerce streams within its fold.
