Bishop Abraham Memorial College (BAM College)

Bishop Abraham Memorial College started its dedicated service to the cause of higher education on 28th June 1965 with 13 teaching & 7 non teaching staff and 371 students. It is owned by the Bishop Abraham Memorial Trust Association registered under the Travancore-Cochin Literary, Scientific and Charitable Societies Act (Act XII of 1955 as S No. 3 of 1965).

seminar hall: two full fledged seminar hall with LCD Projector, and smart board along with visualisor.
Chapel Service :Chapel service is held in the morning and at noon interval on every working day. It is highly encouraging that the students and the staff make use of this service regularly. Dr.Alex Mathew is in charge of the chapel service and religious studies.
College Choir :The College Choir consists of members from the faculty and students. Dr. Sini Jacob, Prof. Kavitha Jacob and Ms. Blessy gives leadership to the choir
Students Counselling Centre :The Counselling centre aims to build up a mature understanding among studentstowards life. It organises programmes to improve one's ability to interact with others. It helps them to find realistic and workable solutions to their problems. The centre also provides counselling facility. It is a home for each student to share his/her feelings and thus to feel at ease. Dr. Anitha Thomas and Prof. Viji George are the teachers in charge of the centre.
Career Guidance Centre and Placement Cell :This center is intended to give guidance for career opportunities to students. Centre also conducts various programmes for personality development of students. Dr.Thomson K Alex is in charge of this centre.
 
 Scholarship Facility
Rev. Dr. T.C.George Memorial Endowment (Instituted by Smt. Leela John, Daughter and member, BAM Trust Association and Mr. Sergei John, Grandson) will be awarded to deserving student selected by the committee. Mundappallil Mr. M.O.John Memorial Endowment (Instituted by Sri. M.M.John (Trustee) N.G.E.F. Layout, Sachidananda Nagar, Bangalore � 94) Awarded every year to deserving children of Evangelists of presbyters of the St. Thomas Evangelical Church of India. In the absence of such deserving candidates, the endowment amount will be open to other students. Mundappallil Pennamma John Memorial Endowment (Instituted by Sri. M.M.John ,Trustee, B A M Trust Association) will be awarded to deserving student selected by the committee
Kurudamannil Oommen Abraham Memorial Prize Two prizes for proficiency in scripture examination conducted on the basis of Bible study in the college chapel.
Maret Sri. A Philipose Memorial Endowment Awarded to a girl student and a boy student of the PG classes who have secured the highest mark in Degree course from B A M College.
Mr. George Thomas (IIIath) Memorial Endowment Awarded to one student from B A and one from B.Sc who have scored not less than 50% marks in their qualifying examination.
Chittazhayathu Sri. Varughese Koshy Memorial Endowment Awarded to the second top scorer in B A final year History Examination.
Plammottil Eapen Thomas Memorial Fund Awarded to the second top scorer in B A final year History Examination.
Kesavapurath Philipose Memorial Endowment (Instituted by Sri. K.P.Samuel, Kesavapurathu, Kollaka, Karunagappally, shall be awarded to the deserving student who is economically backward in nature belongs to St. Thomas Evangelical Church of India.
Rev. Dr. T.C.George Pureskaram The recipient will be selected on the basis of his / her significant contribution for the cause of higher education on rural area.

Mundappallil M.O.Mathai Endowment Established by Mr. M.M.John to support college education of the deserving children of financially weaker section including those of STECI
Anchuthengu Thottathil Rev. P.T.Thomas Endowment (Instituted by Mr. Sergei John, Mundappallil) To support financially weaker students including those of STECI
Mrs. Annie Jacob Endowment (Established by Mrs. Leela John Trustee, BAM Trust Association, in remembrance of her aunt) to support financially weaker students including those from STECI
Mrs. Glory Kurian (Panden Padavil) Endowment Instituted by Mrs. Leela John (Trust Member) and Mr. Sergei John, for students education expense support.
Sri. M.M.John Endowment (Late President, BAM Trust Association) Instituted by Sri. Sergei John, son of Sri. M.M.John to use the interest of the amount for cash awards (a girl and boy) who shows highest character and conduct from among chapel attending students.
Mulamoottil Smt. Annamma Thomas Memorial Endowment Instituted by Prof. Thomas Varghese, son & former HOD of Economics to use the interest amount for giving cash awards to a student, who finds to be the best user of the college Library Reading Room facility.
Sri. K.A.George Endowment Instituted by Sri. K.A.George, former HOD, Department of English and lecturer in charge of Principal (1976 � 77) BAM College, to utilize the interest amount to award cash prizes to students passes with top mark in ENGLISH of BA & BSc. Examination every year.
Chempanal Mrs & Mr.Abraham Memorial Endowment. (Instituted by Prof.Elsamma Abraham ,former faculty member, Dept of Botany, B.A.M College,Thuruthicad) This endowment will be awarded to the student who secure the highest mark in the I year M.Sc Degree examination.
Mrs. Grace John Endowment Instituted by Mrs. Leela John ( trust member) to remember Mrs. Grace John ( Sister of Mrs. Achamma John, Former Manager, BAM College). The accumulated interest will be used for cash award to the best girl studentfrom Science programmes( UG) based on the performance from the first to fifth semester.
