1991 saw the dawn of Kavitha Memorial Degree and PG College, a steady beginning that has culminated into a very successful and profitable one. The concept of starting a modern, enlightened and progressive college of good standards was conceptualised by Sri Kavitha Educational Society whose primary vision lies in provision of good and sound education to the students so that they turn out to be useful and sensible citizens of our country.
Sri Kavitha Educational Society is registered under the Public Societies Registration Act 1350 (Act I of 1350 F) with Registration number 1119 of 1991.
Laboratories: A superb computer laboratory equipped adequately with the latest generation computers systems comprising of Pentium Machines with color monitors along with UNIX, LAN, and Windows NT systems in a networking setup. Further more, we possess Ink Jet printers and Dot Matrix Printers.Our Physics and Electronics Laboratories are also well-equipped aided by a staff to ensure adherence to Practical methodology, sufficient infrastructure lies on hand to power the fuel of practical learning process in Physics, Electronics, etc. with enough time to learn and perform for each student. An Air Conditioned Bio-Technology laboratory exist with Ultra Modern Equipment such as Spectro Photo Meter, Colori Meter, Auto Clave, Incubator, Hot Air Oven Centrifuge, Digital Spectro photo meter, vertical laminar flow, Gel Electrophoresis, Refrigerator and Distilled Water Plant etc.
College Library: The College has over 20,000 Books and Magazines national and international periodicals covering all aspects of Computers & Management studies, with a separate section for CBTs on Curriculum Subjects and Bio-Informatics and Bio-Sciences VCDs from different Pharmaceuticals, and audio-video CDs. Every Student get the Magazine CDs utilize there required softwares upto date. Periodically they are having a good knowledge on softwares, especially on Freeewares and Sharewares. That creates a Hi-Tech state of the art equipment created in the Library.The Library has over 60 Journals and Magazines under the Informatics Dept
