Satish Pradhan Dnyanasadhana College, Thane (Formerly known as Dnyanasadhana College) a Premier Education Institute, is registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1960, on 18th September 1980. The Junior College was recognized by the Education Department, Government of Maharashtra by an order dated 22nd October 1980. By virtue of natural growth a full fledged Degree College was started in June 1983. The college is permanently affiliated to the University of Mumbai and is recognized by UGC 2(f) 12B. It is reaccreditated B by NAAC
The College has faculties of Arts, Science and Commerce on aided basis and B.Sc Computer Science and Bachelor of Mass Media / BMS, B.Com. (Accounts and Finance), B.Com (Banking and Insurance) on unaided basis. The college has fully qualified and competent teaching staff and adequate non-teaching staff.

Computer Laboratory: A well equipped Computer laboratory with digital overhead projectors. Latest softwares along with various digital ebooks for students.
Library: The College library has a large collection of books dedicated to the streams of Arts, Science, Commerce, Computer Science, Mass Media, Management Studies, Accounting and Finance and Banking and Insurance.
Gymnasium: Well equipped with full kit of power lifting, weight lifting, four station multigym, treadmill, cycle, twister etc. The college promotes its students to become instructors so as to encourage earning and learning by giving some financial assistance.
