S S V College, Kahalgaon, a constituent unit of T.M. Bhagalpur University is situated on the hill in the heart of town kahalgoan named after the great Risi ‘Kohal’ (The father of famous ‘Astavakra Muni’) residing near Uttar-Vahini ‘Ganga’ The college was established on 3rd December in the year 1967 on the basis of magnanimous efforts of devoted citizens of kahalgaon who were overwhelmed with the feeling to reproduce the lost ancient glory of ‘Vikramshila Mahavihar’ in the field of learning to young ones.
Every department is provided with Computers & Internet facilities that allow the teachers to go beyond the University prescribed Curriculum and allow them to be at par with syllabus provided by University. College is member of digital library network INFLIBNET, N-LIST which provides accessibility to different open source of learning to faculty member & students.The College has a Wi-Fi enabled Campus provided by Bihar State Government. The College has a well-equpped automated Central Library with OPAC facilities.The College facilitates innovative teaching learning process through seminars / Workshops based on the Curriculum, Audio-Visual mode of teaching, study tour/ excursion /field –work, project-work etc. up-gradation of ICT based teaching learning resource such as development of Modern Smart Classes, modernization and upgradation of laboratories.
